The Spitzer Automotive Group has multiple locations spread throughout the Northern OH, Mansfield, Pittsburgh, PA and Homestead, FL, areas with 11 new vehicle franchises. ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Prepares a complete financial statement monthly according to dealership guidelines and the manufacturer's format and time frame.
Prepares month-end reporting package.
Controls all posted documents, including time records, vehicle deals, commissions, and additions and changes to inventory.
Provides a timely daily operating control (DOC) and keeps the dealer/general manager informed about trends.
Reconciles select accounts monthly.
Assists in completion of annual review/audit.
Prepares monthly floor plan report for use in commission calculations.
Hires, trains, and supervises office personnel.
Manages the payoff of vehicle floor plan and works with bank representatives.
Approves new charge accounts and oversees collection of past due accounts.
Compiles information and prepares reports as requested by management and/or dealer principal.
Maintains a professional appearance.
Attends managers' meetings as requested.
MARGINAL DUTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Ensures compliance with all government regulations.
Directly supervises 3 to 5 employees in the administrative department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be experienced and familiar with all aspects of automotive retail dealerships; especially in the administrative and accounting departments. Proficient with Microsoft Office, Reynolds & Reynolds is a plus.
