To help coordinate consumer directed communications (paid and earned media) in support of tune-in and branding goals for HISTORY and H2 networks.

• Work with VP Consumer Marketing and Sr Dir Brand Strategy &
Communication to help oversee paid and earned media for the
HISTORY and H2 networks. Act as the liaison to other internal
departments such as creative team, programming, scheduling,
digital, PR, legal, research, mobile, distribution and ad sales
divisions, to help disseminate key information to allow for best
possible collaboration between groups.

• Assist Social Media team on developing and executing social media
campaigns. Potential for role to include screening of episodes to
identify topics/quotes/angles to be leveraged socially as well as
posting, tweeting and live tweeting during marquee events.

• Help manage the projects assigned to our external media agencies
and strategic partners: provide direction, quality control, and
coordinating approval processes. Assist in the preparation of
strategic briefs to ensure that all communications are in support
of brand objectives and on point – tonally, attitudinal, etc.
Manage the creation of official Marketing descriptions.

• Work with Media team on gathering competitive intelligence:
sourcing and organizing the competitive media information as well
as help to seek out new media innovations and opportunities (first
to market, etc). Help to create/execute, and disseminate marketing
campaign decks for all major paid and promotional initiatives.

• Budgetary: log invoices in a timely and accurate manner, gather
and organize estimates, aid in tracking down missing invoices from

managing necessary legal agreements such as NDAs, MSAs, SOWs; and
any other miscellaneous dept needs

• Assist in PowerPoint Presentation writing as needed

Required Experience:
College degree required in marketing, communications, or journalism. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint. Three years experience in a marketing, promotions, or media-related desired. Collaborative, personable, easy to get along with, comfortable dealing with various levels of management. Calm, cool, detail oriented, and multi-tasking a must.
